Landscape Design Consultants
7th District FGCNYS has a working Landscape Design Consultants Council. They have assisted several Clubs with advice and suggestions on projects throughout our counties.
Several Consultants from 8th District are also members of the Council.

The Council is always available to assist our Clubs in a consulting capacity with any of their civic beautification projects or other problems.

Contact the Council Chairmen: Patsy Moran, 585-265-2672
or Vicky Glibert, 585-873-4187 with your needs.

Landscape Design Study School is sponsored by National
Garden Clubs and consists of 4 Courses taken over a 2 year
period.  The purpose of the school is to develope an appreciation
of the envronment, both natural and built.  The 4 Courses cover
a wide range of subjects, from landscape design history, the
evolution of landscape architecture and the principles and
elements of design, both in the private as well as the public
arena. Upon taking all courses and passing the exams,
students become Landscape Design consultants and
many ultimately serve on their local town boards, with
conservancy groups and parks committees. Consultants
are required to refresh every 3 years to keep their status.
